Mohammad Babakhani came to Aotearoa from Iran to study engineering and escape conflict. Since then, life has led him through unexpected career twists and into new industries. Together, they open up about the emotional toll, mental health struggles, and quiet resilience that so often go unseen in migrant stories.

Gary has worked in IT and the technical aspects of broadcasting for over 25 years. Gladys is a broadcaster and journalist who has also worked in the health and public sectors. Both have worked in and around Pacific media and broadcasting.
